I am a potter. Working with clay takes me to a whole different world, where my soul is quiet, and my head is clear. I enjoy the nature of clay. It is an ever-evolving medium that teaches me something new each day. The slow deliberate process of pottery gives me an opportunity to connect with the material and create with intention.
Much of my work is done with a potter’s wheel. The physical exertion, fluidity of motion, and fragility of wet clay are exhilarating! Creating just the right curve. Getting an extra inch of height. I enjoy creating useful items that fit the hand. Practical pots that are both balanced and silly. Nature inspired items that represent the beauty I see around me. I love to make things that make others smile. Unpretentious, individual, colorful, and sometimes humorous. Those are my pots.
